Smacked Pentax

Landscape Photographer

A friend of mine who goes by the name of Smacked pentax has managed in my opinion managed to capture the essence of the Yorkshire dales.

By day he works in IT, at the weekend he is an avid walker and photographer and blogger.
Recently he has taken to investigating stone circles on the moors where he lives, some of these are in the region of 5-6000 years old. Quite remarkable that they have laid there for so long and so little is known about them.

James has produced some stunning sets of images one of my favorites being the Neolithic sunset

A lot of the images portray the unspoilt beauty of the Yorkshire moors and how rugged and baron parts of it can be.

I was lucky enough to get out with James last year and hopefully later this year will have the same opportunity again.
